Terms of use

Last updated: 3 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Florence ("we", "us") for using the Florence app, web app and Wear OS app. By creating an account or using Florence you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

Who can use Florence

You must be 18 or over. You may record information about a child only if you are their parent or carer, or have their parent's permission.

Not medical advice

Florence, its predictions and its AI coach give general information about baby sleep. They are not medical advice and do not replace your health visitor, GP or midwife. If you are worried about your child's health, contact a medical professional. In an emergency, call 999.

Your account and household

Keep your sign-in details safe. Anyone you invite to your household can see and change its data, so only invite people you trust. You can remove yourself, or delete the household, at any time.

Your content

You own the data you put into Florence. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the service for you, as described in the privacy policy. You can export it or delete it at any time.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse Florence: no attempts to access other households' data, overload or reverse engineer the service, or use it for anything unlawful.

Subscriptions and payments

Florence has a free tier. Paid plans (yearly subscription or one-off lifetime purchase) are sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play, which take the payment and handle refunds under their own terms. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription. Prices are shown in the store before you buy.

If you bought through the Apple App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement also applies; where it conflicts with these terms, these terms apply to the extent allowed.

Changes and availability

We work hard to keep Florence running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error free. Because the app works offline first, your data on your device stays usable even if our servers are down. We may change or stop features; if we ever shut Florence down we will give you at least 30 days' notice and time to export your data.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, and your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected. Otherwise we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, or for business losses.

Ending these terms

You can stop using Florence and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, and will tell you why unless the law stops us.

Changes to these terms

If we make important changes we will tell you in the app before they take effect.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK you can also bring claims in your local courts. Questions: [email protected].
